The extreme and radical views of growing government is over. The mainstream tea party viewpoint is taking over. We will vote out people who just wants to slow down the growth of govt. We will vote for people who actually cuts govt. The first on our list is the federal education dept. It needs to be abolished. Any democrat or republican who votes against the abolishment of the federal education department will answer to the american people in 2012.

Start with Congressmens offices eliminate all but one secretary per congressman, require all congressment to be computer litereate and answer his email personally. Require each congressman to live on the same income as the average constituant he serves. that should eliminate 3/4 the over runs created in congress.

Republicans want weaker government so the power-brokers can go unchecked and eventually take over the country. We are headed to a land-owner/surf caste system if Republicans get their way. The gap between haves and have-nots keeps growing.

WASHINGTON - The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is on track for a record increase on President Barack Obama's watch, with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national war on poverty.

How about frowning on stupidity ??? People idolizing the likes of individuals like Sarah Palin is a crime. She is the antithesis of intelligence.
by mmac47 October 11, 2010 11:21 PM EDT
post, i would fight for your right and my right to frown on stupidity, but i will not agree with your grow govt stance to criminalize idolizing sarah palin. Just the tea party viewpoint.

The younger generation has been robbed of the quality of education since the federal dept of education was created. The quality of education has gone downhill since and we are dumbing down our kids. The older generation was number 1 in education, since the federal dept of education was created we are towards the bottom compared to the rest of the world.

You can track the steady decline in education with the increase in the "govt" involvement....another disgusting disaster that they have created.

Its sad that the young people today (after carter created the federal education dept in the late 70's) are not as educated as the people before the federal education dept was created.

To POST1ING_AWAY: You are obviously too young to remember better times and better leaders. What do you believe would help America? How would you deal with the deficit? How would you have dealth with 9/11? Terrorist? Medicaid and Medicare fraud? You are obviously a Democrat, and an Obama follower, so what advice would you give him to "get us out of the ditch" he says we are in? Come on now, don't give us any of your crap. We want to see what you are made of, and if you give us any crap, we will know that's what you are made of and there is nothing to you. And that is sad. A person with nothing to you.

Dealt with 9/11 ??? Pursue, as best as one could, those responsible for it. IRAQ had nothing to do with it. So invading Iraq would have been a NO GO. <==> Get us out of the ditch ??? What makes you think that ANYONE can get us out of this ditch ??? We are in a hole the size of the Grand Canyon. It is pure folly to believe that there is a simple path out. Drop a vase onto the floor and it breaks into 200 pieces. Put it back together ??? The key was to not have dropped it in the first place. A large number of conspirators played a role in this debacle. Repug congress repealing Glass-Steagall. Criminal bankers loaning money to deadbeats. Irresponsible borrowers purchasing homes they could not afford. People borrowing against their house to buy cars / furniture / etc. <==> Medicare/Medicaid fraud ??? I would deal with it with an IRON FIST. .................DOES THAT ANSWER SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS ???
by oldbasicgal October 11, 2010 10:29 PM EDT
POST: Yes, it answers the last one...the one that questions what you are made of. How sad to hear such hopelessness. Good night.

And still more hollow mindless dribble. No responses, just attacks. Nothing to add nothing to bring thought provoking retorts. Just attacks. So, if I get you right, I have no right to MY views, just agree with those who want my money to give to you, no right to listen to some other view that differs from you. You are my God and I will forever be in your debt for the humble benefits of living under post1ng-away's regime. Tank you for pointing the way.....The only problem with sarcasm, it takes a better brain to actually understand the put-down you just got. I'm sorry it went over your head........I know that every single one of you libs think I just referred to you.....incredible.
